Treatment, Housing, and Peer Support Under One Roof
Bay Area First Step is a 100% peer-operated organization. Every person you meet at 3950 Sherman Ave has lived experience with addiction, mental health, or both, and every service here is built around that.
Outpatient Treatment
OHA-approved outpatient substance use disorder treatment and DUII services. Individual counseling, group therapy, and a personalized recovery plan built with you, not for you.
Intake and Assessment
An intake coordinator meets with you, walks you through the application, and explains your options for treatment and housing. You are matched with a peer mentor from day one.
Peer Recovery Mentors
Every staff member is in recovery or has lived experience. Certified Recovery Mentors and Peer Support Specialists walk alongside you through treatment and beyond.
Recovery Housing Intake
Apply here for NARR-accredited recovery housing in North Bend and Coos Bay, from monitored Level II homes to supervised Level III housing with clinical support.
Specialized Programs
PRIME Plus peer recovery and integration, PATHS transitional housing support, and PEER-Heart health education, all coordinated from our North Bend campus.
Training and CEUs
Certified Recovery Mentor and Peer Support Specialist training, CADC internships, and continuing education for the peer workforce on the South Coast.
