Bay Area First Step ("Bay Area First Step," "we," "us," or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing peer recovery support, treatment, and housing services in Coos Bay and North Bend, Oregon. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Contact information you provide through our website forms, such as your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address.
- Information you share with us when you call, text, or otherwise communicate with our office through our phone system.

Text Messaging & Phone Communications
If you communicate with Bay Area First Step by phone or text message, we collect the phone number and any information you choose to share with us for the purpose of responding to you and providing our services.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Consumer/mobile phone numbers and opt-in data collected by Bay Area First Step are never shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. If you provide SMS or text-message consent, that consent is never shared with third parties.
Information We Do Not Share
Bay Area First Step does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With subcontractors and service providers who support our operations (such as customer service or IT support), solely to help us provide our services to you.
